CHP2011 is the only nationwide conference and trade show dedicated solely to cogeneration, tri-generation, and waste heat recovery. Held on Oct. 17-19 in Houston, Texas, CHP2011 provided education, business development, and networking for individuals and organizations considering CHP. Attendees benefited from the free exchange of ideas on an array of industrial and commercial CHP topics. The event featured two workshops, 11 plenary and panel discussions, and 55 speakers. High-profile speakers included U.S. Representative Gene Green (D.-TX), Louisiana Public Service Commissioner , and Texas Sen. Rodney Ellis (D.-Houston). CHP2011 and drew roughly 285 attendees, representing roughly 150 organizations; 31 exhibitors, up from 19 last year; and 14 sponsors from across the country, along with a few international attendees.
